<p>Waterwell undertook a LEED-certificied mandate in 2016, working on the new Ericsson R&D and Services facility located in Montreal’s borough of St-Laurent.  Using a massive man-made retention pond, the reclaimed water was used to supply the irrigation system with a submersible pump calibrated to the water requirements needed.  A flow meter, rain sensor, over 12,000 feet of dripline, powered by the most versatile commercial controller were utilised to conserve wasted water.  The end result was domestic water was not needed at all, and over 1 million gallons of reclaimed water was saved on a yearly basis.  The project is seeking a LEED Gold certification.</p>

The new building featured a stone pathway from the building’s main entrance to a “Garden of Inspiration” developped to help reassure and welcome visitors to the community. All of our staff, from administration, customer service, irrigation technicians and general labourers, combined efforts and donated time to provide this beautifull new location with a very efficient and modern commercial irrigation system. <p>Waterwell Irrigation was pleased to retrofit Place Ville Marie’s existing multiple irrigation systems to next generation water savings technology.  Comprising of 9 separate and completely independent cutting edge irrigation controllers (Hunter I-Core), state of the art flow monitors and weather/temperature sensors were installed so as to reduce wasted water (if it rains or there is a leak/broken sprinkler, the system will automatically shut off) and ultimately result in a more efficient watering of the various plants, flowers and grass.</p>

Place Ville Marie Upgrade (2013-2015)

Smart Centers – Design Consultation (2005-2015)

Creating preliminary AutoCAD plans with multiple layers for proposed sprinkler systems, and in some instances following through with project management to post installation check up analysis, we start from initial conceptualization and plan for future modifications/extensions of the site. Specifications and design excellence are used in creating approved irrigation plans.

Irrigation in Qatar (2008/2009)

Waterwell was involved in its first ever international project by helping design a massive irrigation system for the SNC-Lavalin Greenfield Aluminum Smelter plant in Qatar. In conjunction with Planex – an independent Montreal based landscape-design company, many laborious hours were spent analyzing, discussing, calculating, designing and drawing the rigorous demands needed to construct a foreign dessert landscape irrigation system spanning more than 1.5 km in length. With palm trees requiring large daily water consumption, different size/type shrubs, ground covers and good old fashion green grass, the diversified landscape required a hodgepodge of overhead sprinklers, driplines, pop-ups, manual fountain supplies and tree bubblers.
